At Baker Charter Schools we want every student to live a full life while pursuing their studies with us. Through our efforts to build our Student Wellness & Mental Health program, we are now able to offer mental health counseling/therapy sessions, student wellness supports, coordination of services within the organization and in students’ communities, consultation, and mental health information sessions.
Jeana Phillips
Jeana Phillips comes to Baker Web Academy as the Student Wellness & Mental Health Coordinator with 22+ years of experience working in education, counseling, and social services fields. Jeana is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a licensed School Counselor with the state of Oregon, and has worked in schools, residential programs, community mental health, private practice and social service. As the Student Wellness Coordinator for the department, she will be providing Mental Health Counseling for students, social/emotional support for students, referrals for and coordination of services, Consultation and coordination for parents/caregivers, and work for equity.
Jeana is a strong advocate for the families that she works with and honors that people are the experts on themselves; she does her best to support others to see what strengths they already possess and encourages options for bringing awareness, acceptance, and options for action surrounding life situations. When not working, Jeana can be found reading, in nature, traveling, and playing with her dogs.

Robert Williams
Rob Williams has been a school counselor since 2014. He is working on his Licensed Professional Counseling credentials and is looking forward to being part of the BCS Student Wellness Team this year in addition to being an Early College Advisor. He enjoys helping students explore their talents and interests, addressing mental health concerns, and being a support for students and families. When not working, he's probably exploring the Central Oregon mountain & lakes hiking trail wilderness.

Tammie Kirk
Tammie Kirk has over 30 years of experience working with children and families in social services and mental health. She believes that connected relationships are imperative to well-being and healing and that people have the internal resources needed to grow and change. As a Student Wellness/ Mental Health Counselor at Baker Charter Schools, Tammie is available to provide counseling to students, engage with families and support students and families with referrals for additional services that support the social and emotional needs of students. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Oregon and has provided mental health services through community mental health programs, psychiatric day treatment, inpatient substance use disorder programs, schools and private practice. Tammie enjoys spending time in nature, listening to music, working in her yard and home and spending time with friends and family.

Megan Bruce
Megan Bruce has 25+ years working in mental health, social services, and education before coming to Baker Web Academy in the Fall of 2023. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and enjoys working with students as they continue building on their strengths and skills, and exploring new talents and interests. Megan is excited to be working with the Student Wellness team as well as with BWA’s Outdoor School. When she is not working, she’s likely camping and enjoying the outdoors, on a run exploring new trails, or paddling quietly out on a lake.
