Jessica Groom has an M.Ed. in Elementary Education and a  K-12th grade Reading Specialist endorsement, with a particular focus on instruction for students with dyslexia.  She is trained as an Orton-Gillingham tutor and has worked for the past 16 years as an Elementary Teacher,  Reading Specialist, Reading Intervention provider, and private tutor for students with dyslexia and related learning disabilities.   She is particularly delighted to be a teacher at Baker Web Academy, where individualized instruction can be integrated so thoroughly into every student's curriculum.

As an inspirational, enthusiastic, and dedicated educator, Susan demands the best from herself and her students. Susan is recognized for her innovations and creativity in our school, and she makes positive contributions in the greater educational community. She has diverse skills such as coaching, private education, and management and is also conversant in Vietnamese. Susan is open to new experiences in education as well as furthering her own education. As a newly-certified reading specialist, Susan is already looking forward to her next adventures in making a great impact in education.

Marci has been teaching for 11 years. She has primarily taught 4th - 6th grade during that time and absolutely loves that age of students. Marci has a theater background and has also taught and directed drama for jr. high students as well. She graduated from Warner Pacific College in 2003 with her Bachelor's in Human Development and Education. She received her Masters in Curriculum Instruction and Reading in 2014 from Concordia University. Marci loves reading and teaching others about reading and igniting a passion for books in her students.
