Lisa grew up in Upstate New York and earned her first degree in Natural Resources Conservation. She then earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Lisa went on to earn a master’s degree in science education from Syracuse University. When she moved to Oregon twelve years ago, she started working as a wetland scientist until she obtained her Oregon licensure. Lisa has taught science and credit recovery classes both online and in the classroom. She also worked several years for Umpqua Community College as an adjunct professor. Lisa is at home on her 70-acre farm in rural Douglas County with her husband Bruce.
